Community Support
Nationwide race-related events of the past six months have increased our awareness that issues related to race and racism can affect the well-being of town residents and school staff. To support these community concerns, HRS will offer up to three meetings with an HRS clinician to any community member who wants to discuss issues related to race, race-based oppression, or whiteness. These meetings are not psychotherapy, but instead a time to reflect on the complex concerns regarding race issues that affect some residents and school staff.
These meetings are free of charge and will be offered through June 2021. Please contact Shannon Mackey, Chief Social Worker and Assistant Director at HRS to arrange this if interested. She can be reached at 781-235-4950 or smackeyhrshelps [dot] org (smackey[at]hrshelps[dot]org).
